A New Project about family dynamics and social systems

A studio mate asked me what the point was that I'm trying to make with this project, andit was difficult to answer. What point do writers mak when they create stories about fictional characters? Rahter than make a point, I am asking questions and exploring the inner lives of people, as I imagine them. By creating costumes, styling hair, clothes, and makeup, and shooting in sets I build or existing places like shopping malls and restaurants, I am trying to look into a context in which I do not live. Maybe it's a parallel life I would be living if I were like other 57 year old ladies.
